There could not be a better located property in Iluka for a holiday, if you wish to be central to the river, shops, cafes, and clubs. Situated right in the heart of the Iluka CBD, yet facing the quieter Queens Ln, you can be as active or as relaxed as you wish on your holiday at Sailor’s Rest. Take it easy and relax over coffee at the coffee shops, bakeries or restaurants that are all close by, enjoy some of our fantastic local seafood, or spend your days boating, fishing, swimming, or exploring the local rainforests and natural attractions.

The unit is lowset, with easy access, consisting of an open plan living area, with dining setting, lounge, and armchairs, and a large flatscreen television. The living area is separated from the kitchen by breakfast bar, which is equipped with chair stools. The kitchen provides all your crockery and cutlery, plus microwave, large refrigerator, and plenty of bench space for food preparation if you feel like a quiet night in. The living / kitchen area also provides reverse cycle air conditioning.
The main bedroom has a double bed, and the second bedroom provides single bed, plus trundle. The two bedrooms are separated by the bathroom, which includes shower stall, mirrored vanity, sink and loo.
The unit is fully fenced, providing a space for the kids to play or to park an additional car / boat, plus single carport.

About the location:

Situated in a very central position in Iluka, a short walk or drive to the river, and the various boat ramps available in Iluka. The nearest is the Queen St boat ramp. Others you can choose from are in Marandowie Drive, Spenser St near the Sedgers Reef Hotel, and the Old Ferry at the end of Marandowie Drive.

Iluka is known for being situated on the river, there are no properties on the beach as it is bordered by National Park and the famous World Heritage Nature Reserve. However, you do have several to choose from that are just a short drive away. Moriarty’s (which includes a walk along the break wall), Main Beach, Bluff Beach, Frazer’s Reef, Woody Head, Back Beach, Shark Bay, Ten Mile Beach. Then you have Iluka Bay, a child friendly beach on the river between the end of Young St and the break walls. The Iluka Bay area also has a park with play equipment and is along the River Walking track. Speaking of walking tracks, if exploring nature appeals to you, Iluka is famous for its Rainforest Walk. Approx. 2.5kms, it starts at the end of Crown and Long St and takes you through the lush rainforest to the Iluka Bluff, and its stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Take a picnic with you and relax while watching for whales and dolphins.

Dining out, or your evening’s entertainment in Iluka is a breeze with your choice of the Golf Club, Bowling Club, and the Sedger’s Reef Hotel. All these facilities provide a courtesy bus. Iluka’s largest grocery store the IGA is located a few blocks away, this facility includes a bottle shop, deli, baked goods, butcher meats and of course all the grocery items you need for your stay. The petrol station is next door. A little further up Young street are individual stores including butcher, bakery, chemist, and another liquor store. The CBD area of Iluka, which includes Post office, newsagency, a bakery, gift stores and boutiques, hardware store and cafes.

Exploring the wonders of the Clarence Valley is a must whilst you are visiting. Maclean is a short 30-minute drive away from Iluka and has wonderful ethnic Scottish elements for visitors to explore, including tartan painted power poles, recipes for traditional Scottish feast displayed in the main street, the Scottish Shop, plus plenty of bagpipes. Yamba is accessible by car, 45-50 mins, or take the ferry from the end of Charles St at the Iluka Marina and cruise across to Yamba, and explore Yamba’s main street which includes grocery stores, boutiques, gift stores, cafes, restaurants, plus the Bowling Club, Golf Club, Cinema and of course the beaches.

Yamba has the largest shopping centre in the Lower Clarence, Yamba Shopping Fair is Yamba’s largest shopping centre. This facility includes a Coles, KMART, Reject Shop, Priceline, and other specialty stores. Outside the complex are cafes and takeaway restaurants, as well as other specialty stores servicing the area.

Sailor’s Rest is located at 36 Charles Street, Iluka (accessed from Queen Lane, approximately number 29). It is Fully Self-contained and accommodates a maximum of 4guests. No linen provided. No pets allowed. Beds 1D, 1S, 1T. Carport + off street parking. This is a non-smoking unit. No WIFI
