The open plan atmosphere of the living area has been cleverly highlighted and featured by the tropical theme. High ceilings, and airconditioning, polished timber floors and feature walls all combine to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing space to enjoy time with the family or friends, when you’re not hitting the waves. The space is large enough to throw down a few mats and have your friends over for a yoga retreat. Living space is at a premium with decks front and back, plus BBQ on the rear deck, allowing you enjoy fuss free entertaining.
The kitchen / dining is fully equipped to either cookup a feast for the family, or just throw together some antipasti, the choice is yours.
The home provides three bedrooms, two with queen beds and the third with two sets of single bunk beds. The owners also provide a cot for your convenience.
The main bathroom is upstairs with separate loo, and downstairs the laundry is also equipped with a second shower and loo.
The large yard provides plenty of shade if the children want to play while you relax on the deck, and the mature trees provide all the privacy you could desire.
The village of Wooloweyah, is a quiet haven located on the banks of Lake Wooloweyah, surrounded by trees, the lush natural beauty of this area is enhanced by the family friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Just 5 minutes from some of the best surf on the East Coast of Australia in the village of Angourie, including your choice of beaches, Green Point, Blue Pools, Spooky’s Beach and Back Beach. Angourie also provides cafe, and one of the best restaurants in our region, Wooloweyah borders the Yuraygir National Park which boasts picturesque walking trails and magnificent beaches.
Yamba is a short drive away, and you can choose between any number of the beautiful beaches on offer there, Main Beach, Convent Beach, Pippi Beach, Lovers Point, Turners and Whiting Beach. Or choose from fishing and water sports in the Clarence River.
Yamba’s Main street boasts gift stores, boutiques, grocery stores or cafes, bars and restaurants, or take in a meal and entertainment at the Golf or Bowling Clubs. For those rainy or lazy days, you could catch at movie at Yamba Cinema which is also located just above the main street in Yamba. It is all so close. If you don’t feel like driving, there’s always the courtesy buses, which are run by both clubs, plus the Yamba Shores Tavern if you feel like a meal and a drink on the river.
Yamba’s largest shopping centre, Yamba Shopping Fair is located on the way into town on Yamba Road, approximately 8.6kms away, or 13mins drive. This facility includes a Coles, Target Country, Reject Shop, Priceline, and other specialty stores. Outside this complex in Treelands Drive, are cafes and takeaway restaurants, as well as other specialty stores servicing the area.
Exploring the wonders of the Clarence Valley is a must whilst you are visiting. Maclean is a short 28 minute drive away from Wooloweyah, and has wonderful ethnic Scottish elements for visitors to explore, including tartan painted power poles, recipes for traditional scottish feast displayed in the main street, the Scottish Shop, plus plenty of bagpipes. Iluka is accessible by car, 45-50 mins, or take the ferry from the end of River St and cruise across to Iluka, and wander up Iluka’s main street towards cafes, gift stores, the Bowling Club,Sedgers Reef Hotel and the Fishermans Co-op.
Major towns of Ballina and Grafton are approx an hour’s drive, both with airports, larger shopping facilities.
